Pulino’s Bar & Pizzeria

I am not that much in the know but my friend Dina is and wanted to try Keith McNally’s most recent addition to NYC. I am a big fan of Pastis, Lucky Strike and Balthazar so why not since we were going to be down on Bowery for a cocktail party.
After a quick glass of wine to celebrate Huminska’s 9th year on 9th Street we headed down to Pulino’s. Oh, for those of you who haven’t heard of Huminska – it is my favorite little dress shop! (check out--fashion fun)
As we approached the bright neon lights on Houston I was excited to try a new place.
We order a few things on the menu, one being the mozzarella burrata with roasted beets, and tuscan olive oil & sea salt. It is a must get! Simply delicious. We also order the Margherita pizza, I don’t love pizza but I thought it was good. AS for the mussels -- not much to write home about on them. The service and staff were friendly and didn’t have any attitude. It is a trendy pizza joint with a lot of character. Let’s face it sometimes it is more about the ambience then the best dining experience.
Oh, if you are planning to have an intimate conversation that would be out of the question it is very noisy.
I would definitely go back. Pulino’s is fun, lively and has good food!
